The city utilizes light towers at most city events as well as for emergency incidents after sunset. The light towers currently in the city’s Fleet replacement plan are gas powered. Solar powered light towers are a more environmentally friendly way to provide approximately 35 hours of illumination. Additional funding outside of the replacement plan is required for the initial purchase.
Staff is pending delivery of the solar light towers from the vendor.
Manufacturer notified staff backordered parts should be received late February and to expect delivery of light towers in March.
