For Fiscal Year 2023, the recurring capital funds will be used to replace seven temporary rubber speed cushions with permanent asphalt materials for projects on NW 39 Street, NW 19 Drive, and NW 104 Avenue, NW 39 Court and NW 19 Drive. Excess funding would be utilized for the repair of speed cushions and maintaining the thermoplastic pavement markings and signage to improve the safety and visibility of all traffic calming locations through the city. Operating costs include labor for the installation, repair of speed cushions, and purchase of four new traffic counters and covers.
The Traffic Management Team discussed 17 public inquiries and is pending two traffic studies. Staff is reviewing the improvements proposed from the County for the RSA Safety Improvement Project for Royal Palm Boulevard as the project is in the planning and design phase. Staff is also preparing to submit Royal Palm Blvd Improvements for the Complete Streets Local Initiatives Program (CSLIP) Cycle 8 to the MPO.
