Public Safety is paramount to the safety and security of the residents of Coral Springs. Data interoperability is emerging as a key public safety requirement, especially after the MSD tragedy. The City is in the final stages of procuring CAD-to-CAD interface solution. This solution known as EDC HUB will provide closest available unit dispatch, decrease call transfer times and accurately share incident information across jurisdictions thereby reducing response time for incidents.
Virtually met with Broward County ETS Cyber Security Team to discuss cybersecurity concerns on 9/29 and again on 10/20. Our impression from Broward County ETS was that we can meet their security concerns if we move the EDC Hub onsite. Their security team has moved this issue back to the County Administrator and ORCAT for next steps. Staff is meeting with Broward County January 2022.
