Enhance Citywide Aesthetics

The Citywide aesthetics initiative will be a multi-year plan to address the concerns and feedback of our community.  Following the Visioning Summit, Senior staff and Leadership Development Program participants worked together to begin identifying a draft plan and action items that will continue to improve aesthetics throughout the City. (See attached) Action items identified fall into four main categories, including:

• Neighborhoods
• Corridors
• Public
• Rights-of-way

The plan will require multiple departments working together in a coordinated effort to implement action items.  Action items include smaller program such as City staff attending HOA meetings for outreach and educational opportunities to large scale items such as street sign replacement and improving walkability along the City’s corridors.

 An Aesthetics Team will be created to help guide and accomplish the plan.  Throughout the next several months the Team will further define the plan while starting to implement smaller action items.  Gauging feedback and tracking of the progress will be essential to ensure we are responding to our customers and what we are doing is addressing the issues.
