Research Child Care Assistance Opportunities
Staff to research Childcare Assistance opportunities to form a plan that will meet childcare needs of our City employees. Optimally, this effort will support the overall health and well-being of our staff, reducing the stress of lack of childcare or expensive childcare resources which would ultimately result in increased focus at work and higher overall performance.

Build a community for our children while upgrading & sharing facilities (FY23)
Staff will continue to build a connection between the schools, community, and our youth through programs and access to facilities. Staff will review contracts with Broward County Schools. Plans will be developed for enhancements of facilities at one middle school approximately per year.

Plan Mental Health Option(s) for the Community (MT)
The City will be seeking solutions or partnerships within the community to provide new channels of mental well-being support. The goal is to offer positive ways to improve mental well-being and help address ongoing needs intensified by the pandemic.

Supporting the citywide BHAP program
The purpose of the Behavioral Health Access Program is to assist all City of Coral Springs employees, retirees, and families by providing mental health resources focusing on education, guidance, and crisis intervention. The benefits of the program include a reduction in symptoms of stress, quicker return to a productive functioning state, increased job satisfaction, personal confidence, and extended longevity. The program impact will be to improve the quality of life both during and after employment with the city by providing mental health resources and guidance for employees, retirees, and families. Additional emphasis will be placed on training peer support volunteers and increasing the number of available resources within the chaplaincy program and clinician response team. Staff will also pursue new opportunities to engage retired members of the workforce so they can remain connected to the city following their separation from employment.

ARPA: Community Arts Resiliency Program
Due to the pandemic, the Coral Springs Museum of Art has expanded efforts by leveraging technology for both existing and potential audiences comprehensive website, online exhibits, social media, interactive shows, and expanded YouTube channel. Admission fees have been removed completely to assist anyone with financial burdens. A funding transfer to the Coral Springs Museum of Art enables the continuation of programing for operational needs.

Safe Keepers Program
The Safe Keepers Volunteer program is an opportunity for volunteers with a sincere interest in contributing to the education of our students while helping to foster a safe learning environment. The concept of safe keepers is to provide adult volunteers to help monitor students in common areas in our high schools. safe keepers volunteer would volunteer under the supervision of school staff to foster relationships with the students and provide a positive impact.

Parks Master Plan Implementation
The Parks and Recreation Master Plan will identify system enhancements and improvements for the next 15 years based on the vision of the city and Parks and Recreation Department. The plan will identify programming opportunities and methods to meet those needs. Staff will determine and prioritize further establishing and enhancing premier facilities such as athletic fields, courts, trails, park land, and open space to maximize the effectiveness of the department and its resources for the community.
