2020 marked another decennial census nationwide. An accurate count in the 2020 Census is vitally important to the future of Coral Springs as census data is used to determine how nearly $675 billion of Federal funds are distributed annually to state, counties, and communities to support resources such as schools, hospitals, and fire departments.
Collection and outreach was completed in 2020. Coral Springs is awaiting final counts from the Federal Government.
The City has processed and analyzed the preliminary data released by the U.S. Census Bureau in September 2021. A preliminary update was provided to the City Commission at the 11/17/21 City Commission workshop. Expected final results summer of 2022.
