The city has 22 public schools in the city boundaries and the youth account for 27% of the population. In an effort to engage and encourage active youth in city government, the city will introduce monthly video communications to be aired during school morning announcements.
The special edition video for students/schools began with the October commission messaging, and was successfully distributed to all schools and adjustments made so the program can continue and files can be shared each month for the remainder of the school and fiscal year.
