To provide grant programs for businesses to eliminate and prevent the spread of blight and deterioration of properties. This initiative will impact the city by improving the aesthetics, increasing property values and adding to the tax base. As part of the program staff is evaluating the inclusive of demolition as a component of the program.
The new component of the incentive program will be included in the EDO newsletter. We are also reaching out to potential applicants about the program. Staff is also exploring using hyperlocal media to promote by showing the improvements at different projects. Staff is also creating a "Get to Know the EDO" flyer to distribute and promote the programs.
