The ongoing collaborative efforts between Development Services and Public Works allow for review and assessment of transportation needs and improvements within the City. Projects which have the best chance of being awarded or programmed for all project phases are identified for application submission to the County’s Mobility Advancement Program (MAP). Once the projects are vetted and ranked by MAP, the City and the County enter into a Project Funding Agreement (PFA) for the awarded or programmed projects. The PFA stipulates various requirements to include a detailed timeline of deliverables in which to complete each phase, and procedures for term extensions. The projects have been submitted and programmed into the aggregated MAP FY2020-2029, which requires the City to have available funding to support the County’s funding request reimbursement procedures.

The City is committed to providing safe connectivity for all travelers and is actively working on coordinating with Surtax. For CORA-97 the planning phase is closed out. An updated CORA-98 methodology has been completed and is under review by city staff. The R&M roadway project construction has been completed with final closeout pending. CORA-102 has an executed construction ILA agreement the contractor received Commission approval March 25, 2026. The Surtax Municipal grant match program for NW 39th Street multimodal project was awarded $1,744,509.
