Creating a connection to engage a diverse community that is often misunderstood and overlooked to provide resources and enhance veteran welfare.

PPT presentation completed on committee scope, purpose and process to implement. Revision to Boards, Committee, Groups manual completed with tracked changes. Meeting coming up with Mayor and Veterans Coalition to discuss new Committee. Timeline for implementation completed. following meeting, will bring back plan at future workshop for discussion. Resolution will need to be drafted and adopted by Commission.

 

Met with Mayor, Tony Bianco from Veterans Coalition about establishing a veterans committee. Currently working on framework for the committee along with meeting the requirements established in the Boards, Committees, and Groups manual. Once complete will meet with CM team and then CAO for a resolution to be drafted. Goal is to have this ready for commission in June
