Recreation is in everyone’s lives and as a community we must adjust and adapt to ongoing trends within the recreation industry to suit our residents’ needs. One of these trends is the need for youth programing which will improve the quality of life for the youth of our community. We need to do this by continuing to develop new programming and redeveloping current programming. This initiative aims to create a series of new programs that will bring multi-generations together and interact in fun and educational programs.

Programs to include:

  • Nature program
  • Adopt-a-senior
  • Veterans share
  • Juice box jams
  • Art in the park
  • Dog in the park
  • Ice den new programs: back to school, school out, back to school, mardi gras mambo, summer chill, founders day, laser tag on ice (2)
  • Dodgeball tournament between schools

Two nature based programs have been implemented. Program were provided at Tall Cypress Preserve and Sandy Ridge Sanctuary.  Both were well attended and well received.  A new program at the Sawgrass Nature Center will be provided in January.

A program was offered at the Panther's Ice Den featuring on ice laser tag and other programs. The programs were well attended and received positive feedback.
